To Mr. Rouleau and Instructors: I would like to thank all of you for your support and dedication. I started Tae Kwon about a year ago after my son had joined. The main reason was to improve my health. I am pleased to report that my general health has improved significantly and for that I am extremely grateful! When looking into a mirror today, I ‘m not happy that more of my hair has disappeared, but I kick for joy that my stomach has! I still have a long way to go, and it is nice to know that you and the instructors will be there every step of the way for support. The secondary reason for joining was my son Nick. On the way home from school one night I commented that, in my opinion, he could have done better on a few things. His response was “Dad you have no idea how hard this is to do, because you don’t have to do it”. The next class I signed up, and found out he was right, it is a lot harder to do then it looks. The first week I felt incredibly awkward in front of everyone. The support from instructors and students was enough to make me quickly disregard that awkward feeling. Everyone realizes you need to crawl before you can run. I still find it frustrating to know what the techniques should look like, and I can’t perform them. With patience and persistence you continue to offer advice that will hopefully sink in some day. Your ability to extract and build on our strengths is a huge bonus. You push all of us to overcome our own minds and do things we thought were impossible. I constantly remember the motto: “You got to want to do it. Just try your hardest, that’s all we ask” The safe, no-nonsense environment is outstanding! There are no games or parties going on here, just lots of training. It amazes me how all of you seem to be able to spot someone who is in trouble, before they even know it. It is comforting to know that with your keen eye on the students you can spot potential problems, before they start. I'm sure this comes from all your years of experience and knowledge.
